The recipient of the 凯特·加里森“克服困难”奖 recognizes a faculty or staff member who is a pioneer, trail-blazer, or innovator to advance change by his/her work that advances justice and equity specifically for people from under-represented racial and/or ethnic backgrounds. 这项工作必须通过帮助人们克服障碍，对更大的太平洋大学社区产生影响。
